Billa a.k.a The Return of Rebel 2 was one of the most successful Telugu-language action thriller drama of the year. Helmed Meher Ramesh, the film features the action king Prabhas in the lead role along with Anushka Shetty and Namitha Vankawala in other important roles. During a chase with the cops, Billa is wounded because of an accident and he then breathes his last right in front of the ACP. He later holds a funeral for Billa in secret and no one is aware of his death. Keeping the death of Billa as a big secret, he tracks down his look-alike named Swami Ranga (also played by Prabhas) who is a petty thief living in Visakhapatnam.

In return, Ranga’s children will be adopted and get a good education in Hyderabad. After a training section, Ranga is ready to step into Billa’s shoes. He is sent back to Billa’s gang as a man who lost the memory. Ranga slowly learns about the criminal gang of Billa and finally speaks to Billa’s boss called Devil on the phone.
A woman named Maya (played by Anushka Shetty) whose brother and fiancé were both killed by Billa comes to murder Billa (Ranga now) when he informs the important information about the crime network to the ACP. However, the ACP arrives on time and tells her the truth about the real identity of Ranga. Turns out, she supports Ranger and soon falls in love with him.
Later, when Ranga continues to reveal the information about the party of the criminal network, Billa’s girlfriend, Lisa, catches the conversation. She then challenges Ranga but he accidentally kills her during the fight. Meanwhile, the ACP is also killed by the Devil secretly which puts Ranger in trouble as he has to prove he is Ranga, not Billa to the police.
